SGA Lists is hiring Cooks & Culinary Talent for the US Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, NY June 15–21, 2026

Overview We are seeking skilled cooks and culinary professionals to support the US Open at Shinnecock Hills. Be part of a championship atmosphere, collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure high-quality, service-oriented food preparation for guests, players, sponsors, and staff. Key Responsibilities

Prep Cook - Grill Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain grill stations; keep area clean, safe, and in good working order.
Food Preparation: Prepare grill-centric items (meats, vegetables, etc.) following recipes and presentation standards.
Quality Control: Monitor quality and freshness; ensure consistency and great taste.
Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain sanitary workspaces; prevent cross-contamination; follow health and safety guidelines.
Inventory Management: Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing grill supplies.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with kitchen staff and other areas to ensure timely meal production and service.
Compliance: Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and venue policies.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Grill Cook, Line Cook, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
Knowledge of grilling techniques and equipment.
Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
Strong understanding of food handling and sanitation standards.
Good communication and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity for handling food and equipment.
Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies and equipment.
