Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons, interventional radiologists, and nurse practitioners during procedures.
- Prepare the operating room table, tools, and equipment prior to surgery.
- Maintain sterility and safety before, during, and after procedures.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout hospitalization.
- Collaborate with circulating nurse to monitor vitals, assess skin integrity, and communicate with families during the perioperative period.
- Document surgical details in the patient’s electronic health record (EHR).
- Perform postoperative needle, sponge, and instrument counts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior scrub nurse experience in vascular and cardiac surgery.
- CNOR Certification.
- Excellent organization, time management, and critical-thinking skills.
