Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage preparation. As a key member of our team, you will create a welcoming environment for customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced retail and food service setting, contributing to an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other drinks according to company standards.
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
Manage customer orders with accuracy, ensuring timely service during busy hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, including light food handling tasks.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.
Manage time effectively to handle multiple orders during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
Support sales efforts by upselling products and promoting specials or new items.

Requirements:

Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is advantageous.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently.
Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
